Modern propane heat pumps(R290) offer energy-efficient heating solutions – but they require a safe monitoring concept due to the flammability of the refrigerant. INOSENT supplies a powerful gas warning system that has been specially developed for the requirements of Heat pumps.
At the heart of the system is the I3605-LEL-M-LCD propane detector, which uses innovative MPSTM(Molecular Property Spectrometer) technology. In contrast to conventional sensors, this physically measuring system is immune to poisoning from silicone vapors, for example – a common interference factor in Heat pumps. It also offers an extremely long service life of over 10 years with minimal drift. A digital self-diagnosis continuously monitors the sensor function and automatically reports malfunctions such as the end of the service life.
The Gas detectors have an integrated LCD display as standard for direct display of the gas concentration and for easy calibration without a PC. Remote electronic units and modbus-capable sensor heads are available as an option – ideal for flexible installations.
Ex-protected versions of the Gas detectors are available for use in Zone 1 and Zone 2 and meet the ATEX requirements for safe operation with explosive refrigerants such as R290. This makes the devices ideal for direct installation in hazardous areas, as can occur with propane Heat pumps.
