Synthetic refrigerants and their properties

Non-flammable: Synthetic refrigerants are usually non-flammable.
Cooling: Their low boiling temperature makes them perfect for cooling processes.

DANGERS

Ozone depletion: Certain Freon gases damage the ozone layer and cause an increase in UV radiation on Earth.
Toxicity: In high concentrations, Freon gases can cause health problems such as shortness of breath or dizziness.

First aid

1. Fresh air supply:

Immediately remove the affected person to fresh air to stop exposure and increase oxygen levels.

2. calm down and support breathing:

Calm the person and encourage them to breathe calmly and deeply. This gives the body more oxygen.

3. Unconsciousness:

If the person loses consciousness, place them in the recovery position to keep the airway clear and reduce the risk of choking.

4. Make an emergency call:

Call the emergency services immediately. State the presence of freon poisoning and all symptoms so that help can be organized quickly.

5. No mouth-to-mouth resuscitation:

Do not give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation unless you are sure that sufficient oxygen is available. Wait for professional help.

1. Evacuation:

Clear the affected area immediately to avoid any danger from the release of Freon gas.

2. Ventilation:

Ventilate the room well to dilute the gas and reduce the concentration.

Use appropriate protective equipment such as respirators and gloves to protect yourself from exposure.

5. Make an emergency call:

In the event of major releases, contact the emergency services (112) immediately and inform them of the hazardous material.
