In some buildings, a GPS signal is not sufficient to locate employees in an emergency call. Blackline Safety has found a solution for this by using beacons – compact wireless location transmitters.
Beacons can be installed in places where people work, e.g. one per floor or one per room, depending on the building. The beacons are then placed on maps so that you always know where your people are. The handy beacons are self-sufficient, wireless and can be installed in a few minutes without calibration or triangulation.
Each beacon transmits a unique identity number that is received by Blackline Safety’s monitoring equipment such as G7c / G7x, Loner M6 / Loner M6i, Loner 900, Loner SMD and Loner IS+. When personnel approach the beacons, the monitoring equipment stores the identity of the beacon and reports the position to Blackline Live.
